Speckmann Realty & Auction Service got a jump on land auction season with TWO successful land auctions in August. Both auctions had excellent attendance & high interest.
Hervey Farm land auction; Johnson Co., NE
This level to gently rolling 151 acre farm had 132.65 tillable acres with some tile & grass waterways already installed. There were 97 acres Wymore soils with 0% to 6% slopes. Other soil types included Morrill & Judson. There were 11 acres of pasture. This was, and still is, a very high producing farm with an excellent tillable to deeded acres ratio.
“Dick” Hull Estate land auction; Nemaha Co., NE
This auction had 2 tracts: 155 acres farm ground & 5 acres with a nice 3 bedroom home. The tracts were offered separately & together.\
Tract 1: This gently rolling 155 acre +/- farm had 139.75 tillable acres with the balance in waterways. The north half of the farm had recently been tiled & terraced. It had high producing hill ground soils including Wymore. An excellent farm!
Tract 2: This 5 acre tract had a nice 3-bedroom home with a formal dining room, ornate woodwork & a large front porch. The home had a newer roof & vinyl siding. There was a newer detached 2-car garage as well as a corn crib. The property is on rural water.
Result: Sold together for $620,000
